Project and Report Writing Workshop

As a part of improving the internal work of the executive office members, Miram for Peace and Women's Development implemented a workshop entitled Project and Report Writing on August 13-15 with the aim of enhancing the skills of participants in writing and preparing project proposals and performance and evaluation reports, as the effectiveness and performance of organizations depends on the quality of their projects.

Report writing was highlighted to enhance the ability of participants to prepare reports in an effective manner. Miram's interest in the situation of women in areas of conflict, displacement and asylum gave it space to follow up and document violations against women.

The ongoing conflict in El Fasher has led to a severe humanitarian crisis, affecting thousands of civilians. This report summarises the emergency aid efforts undertaken by MIRAM to alleviate the suffering in the area during this period. This programme aims to distribute food aid through the delivery of emergency food rations to alleviate the living burdens of the residents of Zamzam camp. In addition, MIRAM supported Sayed Al-Shuhada Hospital and delivered some medical supplies and basic and necessary medicines needed by the hospital.

A seminar held by Miram for Peace and Women's Development, about "The effects of war on women and children"

As part of the activities hosted by the AFORD space on April 20, 2024 at the headquarters of the African Organization for Rights and Development, the Mirem Organization for Peace and Women’s Development organized an important symposium entitled "The Effects of War on Women and Children" and it witnessed the participation of a group of experts and those interested in effects of war on women. The symposium covered several basic topics. It began by defining war, documenting influential stories, and exploring the concept of war from a feminist point of view.

Kampala Civil Society Meeting with the US Envoy

Within the framework of communication, connection and networking with the international community interested in the Sudanese issue, the Miram for Peace Group, through its representatives, met with the US Special Envoy for Sudan Tom Perillo and his staff, the Human Rights Office at the US Embassy, the Director of IT global and others in the Ugandan capital Kampala. Miram and other groups discussed ways to achieve peace through the currently open roads and external interventions and their impact on resolving and complicating the crisis in Sudan, and participants discussed humanitarian issues and the need to identify them with local and international cooperation, especially in states densely populated with displaced people and threatened by war.

The Joy of Eid at "Kiryandengo" Refugee Camp - Uganda

During this initiative, children and Eid formed an overlapping duo, and this overlap was represented by forming a painting full of joy, happiness, joy has no identity and no country, and Eid for children is a train full of colorful joy, and the innocent laughter of children, which fills the earth with joy and spontaneity. We at MIRAM Organization for Peace and Development believe in the rights of children to a life that respects their childhood, peace and security, and supporting displaced children and providing a safe and stimulating environment for them is a required goal and a human right, and we will strive to achieve their psychological and moral stability, and part of that is paying attention to the segment of women in the camps and paying attention to their issues.

In commemoration of the glorious December Revolution, Sudanese civil society organizations in Uganda held an Iftar for December Martyrs

Within the framework of coordination and joint cooperation between Sudanese civil society organizations in Uganda, members of the executive office of the MIRAM Organization for Supporting Peace and Women Development participated today in the Ugandan capital, Kampala, in the Ramadan Iftar organized by a group of Sudanese civil society organizations. This occasion comes in commemoration of the martyrs of the glorious December revolution, where the attendees listened to a seminar dedicated to discussing issues related to humanitarian issues and challenges facing organizations and ways to stop the bloodshed and face the war crisis and its bad consequences. It is worth mentioning that more than 18 organizations and initiatives contributed to the success of this day, hoping that their efforts will succeed in stopping the war and achieving peace.
